Kevin Nolan, CFP®

Kevin is a Financial Advisor with Essex Financial Services and works in our Southport, CT location. With nearly two decades of experience in Financial Services he has developed an extensive and well-rounded background. He began his career with Fidelity Investments where he worked for 16 years in multiple roles. His most recent role was as a Senior Account Executive in the Private Client Group providing financial counseling to over 400 families with assets in excess of $1.4Billion. His focus was on Retirement Planning, Charitable Planning, Tax Management and Asset Allocation Strategies. While at Fidelity Kevin was recognized consistently as one of their top advisors and was the recipient of their prestigious “President’s Circle” Award which is awarded to only a select few in the nation. Kevin’s success earned him a position on the National Account Executive Advisory Board where he provided input for the future direction of the Private Client Group for Fidelity. In 2011 Kevin joined Sontag Advisory as a Senior Advisor working out of their Westport, CT office and eventually moved to their office in Manhattan. While at Sontag Advisory his responsibilities included managing portfolios while coordinating with client’s attorneys and accountants to provide a holistic lens to investing and planning. Additionally, Kevin was recognized for his expertise in Retirement Income planning as well as Social Security Planning and provided training for fellow advisors at Sontag Advisory.

Kevin has a B.A. in Economics from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Fordham University where he was recognized for outstanding achievement in the field of Economics. Kevin is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and has achieved the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor sm designation from the College of Financial Planning.

He resides in Fairfield, CT with his wife, Fran and 5 children. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, skiing and loves coaching his children’s various sports teams.
