Andrew J. Brauer
Andy has worked in investment and financial planning since 1999 and joined Essex Financial Services in April 2006. Andy began his career in financial planning at Prudential Securities in New Haven, followed by Fleet Bank in Madison. He joined Essex Financial Services because of their independent and comprehensive approach extended towards their clients. As a financial advisor, his primary responsibilities include working within the firm’s growing pension/401(k) business, in addition to working with individual clients, helping them to meet their personal financial goals and objectives.
He previously received a Bachelors degree from Boston University and a Masters degree in Urban Planning from New York University. After working in commercial real estate development for sixteen years, Andy left his job while district leasing manager for a national shopping center developer, and moved his family from Boston, down to the Connecticut shoreline. For the last five years he has served on the Selectman-appointed, Madison-based, Downtown Center Project Committee.
Andy and his wife, Betsy, live in Madison and just recently adopted their daughter, Nina, from China.
